Is a seaside town located in Yorkshire, northern England. I visited this town in May this year with my partner and his family for 4 days. We stayed in an Airbnb which was beautiful and very cosy also not far from the town. You can get the train here or you can drive to Whitby.
On our first night there we went on a lovely walk to the beach and I was amazed at how incredible the view was specially as the sun was setting.
The next day we had to climb a set of stairs to get to the top of the Gothic Abbey which was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for “Dracula”. The Abbey was spectacular had a very eerie feel to it however the scenery of the whole town was amazing slightly cloudy but still beautiful.
Photos of the Gothic Abbey will be uploaded in my gallery along with more photos of Whitby.
We spent most of our time relaxing, eating lots of ice cream and one of the places we went to for dinner done the best fish and chips I have ever had at the Magpie Cafe.
I would recommend booking in advance as it does get really busy specially at the weekend. Another recommendation is the Abbey Wharf another great place for food and drink and has a fun atmosphere at night.
Although this is a small sea side town there’s so much to discover and I would definitely visit again.
