    The Old Town

Currently sitting in my flat on a rainy day in Scotland dreaming about Alicante at its amazing restaurants and food. Found this cute little restaurant in The Old Town area which has multiple restaurants and bars nearby. This restaurant was beautiful inside and had a very relaxing atmosphere. You can eat inside or outside, the staff are friendly, the food was delicious and it’s reasonable in price.

    Royal Botanic Garden light show

This event takes place once a month and it’s always around winter time towards the end of November. I always thought this light event sounded interesting but never went so this year I went a long with my friends from work and I was absolutely amazed! The detail that goes in to this event is outstanding and you can’t help but take pictures. It also has food stalls as you walk round and the best part for me was the mulled wine and the churros with the chocolate sauce just delicious! I also enjoyed some delicious marshmallows and German bratwurst hot dog.    You can find out information on this…

    Edens Kitchen

The best meal tonight was at Eden Kitchen. They are located on Broughton street in Edinburgh so not far away from the waverley train station or Edinburgh bus station. I ordered the Beef burger which came in a pitta bread (never seen this before) with salad and chips and my partner had the fungi pizza that had mushrooms, pesto and gorgonzola cheese on top. I have unfortunately been suffering with the flu so this really did cheer me up plus I love food and I love that feeling of having a satisfied stomach. I will include a link to their website below for further information: http://www.edens-kitchen.com/   I highly recommend…

We found out that Loon Fung serve a variety of delicious Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant was beautifully decorated inside and I was blown away with the ceiling as it had what it looked like to me bamboo sticks hanging down! They also have a variety of menus to chose from for lunch, dinner and the festive period. We ordered fried crispy seaweed as a starter and for the main had chicken fried rice and Noodles. We could of had so…

    Kas

My partner and I have been to Turkey (Istanbul, Marmaris, Antalya) a few times in the past years, however the 1 place we both absolutely loved was Kas. This beautiful seaside town is located on the Mediterranean coast and although Istanbul, Marmaris and Antalya are beautiful too, Kas just took our breath away. Being able to wake up and have breakfast as the sun was rising just felt so nice and not something we’d usually do since we live in Scotland. We drove from Antalya airport which took a while however the drive was worth it as we got to enjoy the scenery on our way down, we also stopped…

We took the bus from Edinburgh which took around 1 hour however you can also take the train which is faster but this would depend on where you lived. We stayed in Glasgow for 1 night at the Millennium hotel which was perfectly located in the city centre. This hotel was absolutely beautiful our room was amazing, very spacious also very comfortable. The staff at…

    Whitby

Is a seaside town located in Yorkshire, northern England. I visited this town in May this year with my partner and his family for 4 days. We stayed in an Airbnb which was beautiful and very cosy also not far from the town. You can get the train here or you can drive to Whitby. On our first night there we went on a lovely walk to the beach and I was amazed at how incredible the view was specially as the sun was setting. The next day we had to climb a set of stairs to get to the top of the Gothic Abbey which was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for…
