Thanks to everyone who braved the weather to make the first Edinburgh Canal Festival such a fantastic day. And thanks to the musicians, stall holders, comperes & DJs, Wee Boat Flotilla paddlers, artists, canal boat owners - and Alistair Darling for officially opening the event.

The Raft Race, rapidly becoming known as one of the most entertaining events in Edinburgh's calendar, was once again a roaring success - thanks to everyone who rafted, helped build the ingenious rafts, floated, sank, swam or provided towels to the swimmers - this year's race undoubtedly met the high standards we've come to expect!

Daftest Raft - Danny's Bridal Party
